1967

Laureano María starts selling home-produced meat and vegetables to restaurants in Segovia.

1973

Fernando, Laureano’s younger son, joins his father as a salesman at the age of 16. With their entrepreneurial vision, they focus their efforts on selling suckling pig in Segovia.

1989

The company begins to expand, first with an outlet at the Legazpi market in Madrid and then broadening its horizons to the domestic market.

1996

Founding of the company Fernando María SL

2003

David de María, the current CEO, joins the company, which means a qualitative change to a modern, international company.

2005

Creation of Cárnicas Tabladillo SL

2006

The company Segonillo FM sl opens

2008

We open the facility where production is now centred. Our slaughterhouse becomes a benchmark for the province.

2011

Israel de María joins the company as Director of Administration and Finance. There is a change in the company’s visual image.

2013

Esther de María joins as Director of Purchasing, leading to the standardisation of our own exclusive farms.

2014

We obtain IFS certification, another step in the company’s development. We start to work with hypermarkets.

2015

In 2014 and 2015, the R&D, export and marketing departments are created.

2016

We launch OVEN READY onto the market, a new, quick way to cook a 10 kg suckling pig at home.

2017

We are awarded the ITQI quality seal for our OVEN READY product with 3* and the GREAT TASTE award with 2* for OVEN READY AND 1* for our quality seal suckling pig and suckling pig roast.
